Our focus is building a dedicated organization by serving, educating, preserving and cultivating our community through involvement. Our hope is to attract and retain our growing and educated demographic in the Waco area, which includes YOU.
As Waco develops and expands, so do the employers and businesses. As our organization grows and becomes involved, so does our community.
Young Professionals are a key demographic in any healthy, vibrant city, serving as the community's trendsetters, innovators, and policy changers. Having a strong cohort of 20-40 year olds in Waco can help to ensure that this city grows responsibly and sustainably, all while making it safer, more entertaining, and more prosperous.
The Greater Waco Chamber and Waco Young Professionals are undertaking a survey to find out what Young Professionals want in Greater Waco. We want to know how you live, work, and play, and what opportunities you want to see in our community. Please take a few minutes to respond to our Quality of Life Survey. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7YVCKXL
Thanks for making Greater Waco a better place to live!

So far this year we have had great opportunities to learn about the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit, the many ways to be involved at the Greater Waco Chamber, the state of the health care bill, sustainable initiatives in the automotive industry, and the Waco Mammoth Site. We have enjoyed each others' company at the Grille at the Hilton, through bowling, at the Slippery Minnow and at a tailgate before the Baylor vs DBU baseball game. We have really packed in the networking and social opportunities in the first half of this year!

The Waco Tribune Herald has an excellent story by Bill Teeter today about the growth in young professionals in the Greater Waco area. President Erik Hill and YP members Lara Robertson and Rusty Betts were all quoted about their story as young professionals in Waco. From social opportunities to business networking, the Waco YPs continue to serve as a common ground for young professionals in our area. Check out the story: Waco Seeing More Growth in Young Professionals.
The Waco Mammoth Site will be opening after hours just for the Waco Young Professionals for a private tour of the site. The Waco Mammoth site holds the record for the largest known concentration of skeletons of mammoths believed to have died in the same event. The site is soon to be Waco's first National Monument through the National Park Service.
This is a great opportunity to support the National Park System in Waco.
The cost for the entry fee is $5. We need to receive your RSVP and payment by May 9th to confirm your attendance. You may pay by cash or check at any YP event or by mailing or dropping off the payment at the Greater Waco Chamber, 101 S. Third Street, Waco, TX 76701. Please make checks payable to the Greater Waco Chamber with YPs in the memo line.
