YPs Race for the Cure

Join our Waco YP team in the annual Central Texas Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!

As mentioned at the last meeting, I have entered a YP team to participate in the Central Texas Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  There are many ways to participate on race day, so please come out and join us in support of finding a cure for breast cancer. 

Of all the money that you raise, 75% of the funds stay right here in McLennan county to help pay for screening and education.  The other 25% goes to their national grants program to help find a cure. The race is on Saturday April 18. 

If you cannot come out with us on race day please consider donating to one of the YP members who is participating.  This is a great way to support our community!

How to join our team:

1.       Go to http://race.komencentraltexas.org/site/TR?pg=entry&fr_id=1030

2.       Click on the button on the right hand side of the page “Join an Existing Team”

3.       Type in Waco YP

4.       On the next screen it will list all matching teams, on the right hand side next to Waco YP you can click Join

5.       Select the type of participation that you would like to have.  Any of you guys with kids can bring them out to participate on Race Day.  The more the merrier!

6.       Start fundraising!
